Isaac Vitela passed for 279 yards and five touchdowns and added another 185 yards and two scores on the ground as the Redlands East Valley defeated crosstown rival Redlands 69-28 in a Citrus Belt League game Friday night.
Redlands East Valley (5-2 overall) retained the Smudge Pot and moved to 2-0 in league play for the first time since 2016.
Nathen Lopez made his season debut for the Wildcats and ran for 152 yards and two scores and also caught a touchdown pass. Taamir Mack caught four passes for 145 yards and two scores.
Anthony Fraire led the way for Redlands, passing for 275 yards and two touchdowns. Jaime Moreno caught six passes for 175 yards and a touchdown for the Terriers (2-5, 0-2).

Banning 42, Twentynine Palms 22: Jacob Anzaldua threw for 441 yards and three touchdowns as the Broncos win a nonleague game. Jmari Garlington finished with eight catches for 242 yards and three touchdowns for Banning (5-2).
Paloma Valley 48, North 28: Isaac Navarro passed for 282 yards and three touchdown and added two scores on the ground as the Wildcats won an Ivy League game. Kaeden Dempsey caught two touchdown passes for Paloma Valley (2-5, 1-1).
Hillcrest 42, Hemet 14: Matthew Reyes passed for 157 yards and three touchdowns as the Trojans won a Sunbelt League game. Reyez Ortiz ran for 109 yards and a touchdown for Hillcrest (4-3, 2-0).
Miller 35, San Bernardino 16: Jacob Sauceda ran for 175 yards and three touchdowns as the Rebels won a Mountain Valley League game. Daniel Rasura added two rushing touchdowns for Miller (2-5, 1-2).
Canyon Springs 42, Lakeside 7: Jaxon Taylor ran for two scores and also caught a touchdown pass as the Cougars cruised to victory in an Inland Valley League game. Andre Larry ran for 125 yards and scored a touchdown for Canyon Springs (6-1, 1-1).
Valley View 34, Arlington 7: Jesse Vega ran for 119 yards and five touchdowns and also passed for 195 yards as the Eagles won a Sunbelt League game. Alex Ramirez caught seven passes for 110 yards for Valley View (4-3, 2-0).
Ontario 50, Pomona 13: Andrew Wilson ran for 160 yards and three touchdowns as the Jaguars won a Montview League game. Samuel Abajuo added 103 yards and three scores on the ground for Ontario (5-2, 2-0).
Ramona 49, La Sierra 0: Isaac Mata returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns and also caught a touchdown pass as the Rams won a River Valley League game. Lorenzo Sims had two touchdown runs for Ramona (6-1, 1-1).
Alta Loma 35, Baldwin Park 6: Kristopher Biggers ran for 124 yards and two touchdowns as the Lions (5-2, 1-1) won a Valle Vista League game.

King 37, Corona 0: Colton Zeen passed for 155 yards and two touchdowns and added 97 yards and two scores on the ground to lead the Wolves (5-2, 2-0) to victory in a Big West Conference-South Division game.

Los Osos 28, Colony 21: Isaiah Guerrero passed for 204 yards and two touchdowns as the Grizzlies won a Sierra League game. Kaidyn Garrett ran for 63 yards and two scores for Los Osos (3-4, 1-1). Jordan Juarez tossed two touchdown passes for Colony (2-5, 0-2).
Jurupa Hills 56, San Gorgonio 20: Gilbert Centeno ran for 247 yards and four touchdowns as the Spartans won a nonleague game. Xavier Curry added two scoring runs for Jurupa Hills (3-4).
Fontana 26, Notre Dame 12: Sebastian Celedonio ran for 94 yards and a touchdown and also returned a kickoff for a score as the Steelers won a Skyline League game.
