FRIDAY’S TOP GAMES
San Jacinto (3-2) at Aquinas (3-1), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: San Jacinto has won two straight games, including a 23-13 victory at Cajon last week. Josue Estrada has passed for 563 yards and five touchdowns, while Jomini Ransom leads the ground attack for the Tigers with 528 yards and four scores. Linebacker Samuel Minnott has registered a team-high 37 tackles. Aquinas routed Notre Dame 69-6 last week to extend its winning streak to three games. Charlie Reyes has thrown for 634 yards and eight touchdowns and added 243 yards and three scores on the ground. Champ Brown has racked up a team-high 498 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.

Murrieta Valley (3-1) at San Clemente, (3-2), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Murrieta Valley cruised to a 49-7 victory over King last week. Jeremiah Watson led the ground attack for the Nighthawks with 187 yards and four touchdown in that win. Jacob Taddi caught six balls for 80 yards and also returned a kickoff and a punt for touchdowns. Linebacker Abelardo Leos has registered 34 tackles and a team-high 2 1/2 sacks. San Clemente is coming off a 26-13 win at Chino Hills last week. Eiler King has passed for 1,065 yards and nine touchdowns, and Jaxson Rex has caught five touchdown passes for the Tritons. Patrick Norman leads the defense with 41 tackles.

Mission Viejo (4-1) at Chaparral (2-2) 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Chaparral has won two consecutive games, including a 64-14 victory last week over crosstown rival Great Oak. Dane Weber has passed for 1,293 yards and 14 touchdowns and scored five times on the ground. Michael “Kiko” Farinas leads the deep receiving group with 23 catches for 413 yards and five touchdowns. Defensive end Kameron Payne has registered 37 tackles and four sacks for the Pumas on defense. Mission Viejo is looking to bounce back from a 25-14 loss to McCallie (Tennessee). Luke Fahey has thrown for 1,241 yards and 12 touchdowns, and Davonte Curtis has rushed for six touchdowns. Defensive lineman Jayden Hill leads the Diablos on defense with 54 tackles and six sacks.

Indian Springs (2-2) at Miller (1-3), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: This is the Mountain Valley League opener for both teams and the first of two meeting between the two squads. Indian Springs saw a two-game win streak snapped with last week’s 44-13 loss to Citrus Hill. Nikolas Padilla has passed for 405 yards and four touchdowns, and Damien Johnson has rushed for 228 yards in two games. The Coyotes are led on defense by linebacker Jeremiah Stovell (22 tackles). Miller is seeking its third straight MVL championship. The Rebels also hope to snap a three-game skid Friday night. Jacob Sauceda has thrown three touchdown passes and added two scores on the ground. Receiver Stanley Leslie leads the team with four total touchdowns. The defense is led by defensive lineman Xavier Reed (31 tackles).

Pacific (4-0) at San Bernardino (0-4), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: This is the other Mountain Valley League opener on Friday night. Pacific, which had to cancel its varsity season last year, has returned in style with four straight wins to start the season. Ryan Cooper has passed for 988 yards and 13 touchdowns, and Aiden Johnson has caught 21 passes for 345 yards and six touchdowns. Defensive end Kimani Whittington leads the Pirates’ defense with 27 tackles and three sacks. San Bernardino looks to break into the win column for the first time. The Cardinals have struggled on offense, averaging only nine points per game. Adrian Southwood has been a bright spot with 296 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Linebacker Hayden Hernandez leads the defense with 38 tackles.

Grand Terrace (3-2) at Rim of the World (4-0), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Grand Terrace has won three straight games, including a 21-7 victory over Perris last week. The Titans’ offense is led by quarterback Jaden Montano and running back Samajay Green. Linebacker Jayceon Johnson is averaging seven tackles per game. Rim of the World rolled to a 31-6 victory over Bloomington last week, and the Fighting Scots now look for the program’s first 5-0 start since the 2019 campaign. Tatum Ortiz continues to be the offensive workhorse, rushing for 924 yards and 14 touchdowns. Defensive end Cody Karn leads the defense with 28 tackles.

Alta Loma (3-1) at Silverado (3-2), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Alta Loma knocked off Glendora 31-24 on Sept. 12 and took a bye last week. Maximus Fierro has passed for 673 yards and 10 touchdowns, and Santiago Vasquez has caught 27 passes for 366 yards and four touchdowns for the Lions. Linebacker Owen Fiorenza leads the defense with 27 tackles. Silverado is coming off a 43-10 win at Ontario Christian last week. Aumaurieon Bailey has rushed for 845 yards and 11 touchdowns and topped the 100-yard mark in every game. Linebacker Nheeko White leads the Hawks on defense with 55 tackles and three sacks.
