A San Jacinto man employed at a licensed residential treatment facility for minors was arrested Thursday, Sept. 18 on suspicion of multiple sex crimes after a yearlong investigation, authorities said.
The investigation into Antoine Christopher Sims, 31, began in September 2024, after authorities received allegations that he had inappropriate contact with juvenile residents under his care at the facility, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.
Detectives identified multiple victims and uncovered what they described as a pattern of predatory behavior that included grooming, inappropriate communication and unlawful sexual contact.
Sims was arrested near the intersection of Sycamore Canyon Lane and Bachelor Peak Street in Winchester on Thursday. He was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility on multiple felony charges, including lewd acts with a child and oral copulation with a minor under 16.
The Sheriff’s Department said the case remains active and ongoing, and further details are being withheld due to the involvement of juvenile victims.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. Anyone with information is urged to contact Investigator D. Hollingsworth at the San Jacinto Station at 951-654-2702 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at 951-776-1099.
