Chaffey College handed out degrees and certificates to more than 2,800 during a joyous graduation celebration Thursday, May 22.

A sea of black robes and proud friends and family members packed the Toyota Arena in Ontario for the event.

The class of 2025 earned about 3,800 degrees and certificates, a college news release states. The class includes 19 valedictorians and 40 high school students graduating via the dual enrollment program, the release states.
Filmmaker Moisés Zamora, who created “Selena: The Series” for Netflix, was the keynote speaker.
“Look at someone nearby,” he told graduates, according to the release. “Maybe you don’t know them. Maybe you do. But today you share a truth. You both made it. That matters. That’s community.”
The class’ average GPA was 3.27. Graduates ranged in age from two 74-year-olds to five 16-year-olds, the release states.
