The Centennial football team has finished atop the IE Varsity rankings for the fifth consecutive season and 14th time over the past 16 years.
The Huskies captured another Big West Conference-North Division title and reached the CIF Southern Section finals for first time in a decade.
Since 2010, the only times Centennial didn’t finish No. 1 were in 2011 (Vista Murrieta) and the 2021 pandemic-shortened spring season (Norco).
The Big West Conference’s North Division and the Baseline League have a combined eight teams in the final Top 10 rankings.
Hillcrest and Valley View were the area’s only section champions this season. Those two teams play regional championship game later this week.
