Preparations for the 2025 commencement season are underway across California State University campuses this week.
For Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State San Bernardino, graduation ceremonies kick off Friday, May 16, marking the end of the academic year and the end of the higher education journey for thousands.
Cal Poly Pomona has been preparing for the events this week. The university will host 12 ceremonies over three days, May 16-18. The first, the Don B. Huntley College of Agriculture, is set for 8 a.m. Friday on campus in the University Quad, 3801 W. Temple Ave.
Chairs were being set up earlier in the week to host the more than 6,600 Cal Poly Pomona graduates and their supporters, celebrating the end and also new beginnings.

Cal State San Bernardino commencement festivities also begin Friday with two ceremonies for Social and Behavioral Sciences, the first at 1:30 p.m.
The 3,100 students participating in the university’s five ceremonies on Friday and Saturday will be walking across the stage at Toyota Arena, 4000 E. Ontario Center Parkway, Ontario.
While college students prepare for their day, Inland Empire high school students from the Class of 2025 are also winding down the school year. Area high schools will be hosting their celebrations in coming weeks, sending students off to their new adventures.
