The family of World War II veteran Marvin Minter, including former Assemblywoman Cheryl Brown, accepted his high school diploma nearly 80 years after the former truck driver’s service in the U.S. Army. Minter died in 2000 at the age of 76. He served in the Army from 1943-1945, according to a news release from the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools.
