RIVERSIDE — A man who was shot multiple times earlier this week succumbed to his injuries Sunday. Around 11:57 p.m. Monday, deputies were alerted to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 2500 block of Spectacular Bid Street in Perris, near the intersection of Redlands and Orange avenues, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The victim was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a hospital in critical condition. He was declared deceased on Sunday. The victim was identified as Rene Diaz, a 42-year-old Lake Elsinore resident. Homicide detectives were investigating the case.…
