Rob Reiner, the son of a comedy giant who went on to become one, himself, as one of the preeminent filmmakers of his generation with movies such as “The Princess Bride,” “When Harry Met Sally …” and “This Is Spinal Tap,” has died. He was 78. Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer, were found dead Sunday at their home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles. A law enforcement official briefed on the investigation confirmed that Reiner and Singer were the victims. Two people were found dead in a Brentwood home owned by actor, director and producer Rob Reiner on Sunday, Dec. 14. Crews responded around 3:40 p.m. to the 200 block of Chadbourne Avenue, where they found a 78-year-old man and a woman believed to be about 68 years old dead, said Margaret Stewart, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
