A Tesla that was found in a Hollywood tow yard with a decomposing dead body inside its trunk was registered to singer-songwriter D4vd, it was reported Tuesday.
Following multiple complaints from area residents about a foul odor, the body was found inside a bag around 12:20 p.m. Monday at the tow yard on the 1000 block of North Mansfield Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
“We were notified this morning, and the car’s been here for a couple of days,” LAPD Capt. Robert Peters said.
According to reports from the scene, officers found the body inside a bag in the car’s trunk, which is located in front of the vehicle.
There was no immediate information about the cause of death or the identity of the person who died.
D4vd is scheduled to perform in Minneapolis on Tuesday as part of his “Withered” world tour that began last month. The tour stops in Los Angeles on Sept. 20.
According to ABC7, the 2023 Tesla is registered in Hempstead, Texas, to David Anthony Burke, whose stage name is D4vd.
