Authorities arrested a couple on suspicion of cultivating marijuana for sale after discovering more than 10,000 cannabis plants and over 90 pounds of processed marijuana inside their Apple Valley home on Tuesday, June 3, officials said.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department detectives and the sheriff’s Marijuana Enforcement Team served a search warrant at a residence in the 13300 block of Tioga Road, south of Highway 18 and east of Apple Valley Road, the sheriff’s department said.
They uncovered a large-scale indoor marijuana growth and sales operation. Authorities seized over 10,000 cannabis plants, 286 illegal THC vape cartridges, 716 grams of concentrated cannabis wax and 91 pounds of processed marijuana.
Neighbors notified law enforcement after smelling marijuana coming from the residence, Apple Valley station sheriff’s spokeswoman Pamela Hoffman said.
The husband and wife were arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center on suspicion of cultivating marijuana for sales. Both later posted bail and were released with a scheduled court date.
