
Fire crews from multiple agencies battled a raging blaze at a 16-unit apartment building in Rialto on Friday night, Nov. 21.
Rialto firefighters responded to the 1000 block of Cactus Avenue and requested mutual aid as strong north winds pushed flames rapidly through the structure, prompting assistance from San Bernardino County Fire, Colton Fire, the Rancho Cucamonga Fire District and firefighters with the Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation.

Despite difficult conditions, crews were able to contain the blaze to the building of origin.
No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported. The number of residents displaced was not immediately available.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
