In addition to the five players who were sidelined against the Kings (Luka Doncic, LeBron James, Jaxson Hayes, Maxi Kleber and rookie Adou Thiero), the Lakers listed veteran guards Marcus Smart (right quadriceps contusion) and Gabe Vincent (left ankle sprain) as out for Monday night.
Vincent wore a protective boot in the locker room after the victory over the Kings, telling the Southern California News Group on Sunday night that his X-rays came back negative.
Smart was seen getting his right leg checked out by a team trainer late in Sunday’s win but was on the court to help close out the game.
The Lakers will have 10 players available against the Trail Blazers – seven signed to standard NBA deals: Austin Reaves, Jake LaRavia, Jarred Vanderbilt, Rui Hachimura, Deandre Ayton, Dalton Knecht and Bronny James, and their three players who are on two-way contracts: Nick Smith Jr., Chris Manon and Christian Koloko.
More to come on this story.
