Damien (5-1, 0-1) at Etiwanda (3-3, 1-0), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Damien looks to bounce back after suffering a 22-20 loss to Rancho Cucamonga in last week’s league opener. Isaiah Arriaza has thrown for 1,691 yards and 16 touchdowns, while Malachi McFarland leads the ground attack for the Spartans with 541 yards and six scores. Edge rusher Declan Becher has registered 44 tackles and 9 1/2 sacks. Etiwanda opened league play with a 40-0 rout of Ayala. Keegan Campuzano has passed for 1,081 yards and seven touchdowns, and Jaleel Sutton has rushed for 506 yards and four touchdowns. Linebacker Drew Toki leads the Eagles on defense with 52 tackles.

Chaparral (3-3, 1-0) at Murrieta Valley (5-1, 1-0), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Chaparral opened league play last week with a 28-20 win over Vista Murrieta. Dane Weber led the Pumas, passing for 210 yards and three touchdowns and adding another score on the ground. Trevor Schneider ran for 132 yards on 17 carries. Defensive end Kameron Payne leads the defense with 54 tackles with 5 1/2 sacks. Murrieta Valley erased a double-digit deficit and outlasted Norco 55-45 in the league opener. Jeremiah Watson ran for 256 yards and five touchdowns, while Ty Isaia threw two touchdown passes to Derrick Johnson II and added 118 yards and a score on the ground. Linebackers Joseph Rodriguez and Abelardo Leos have combined for 122 tackles for the Nighthawks.

Murrieta Mesa (3-3, 1-0) at Great Oak (4-2, 1-0), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Murrieta Mesa opened defense of its league title with a 35-21 victory over Temecula Valley last week. Daniel Ritchie leads the ground attack for the Rams with 520 yards and five touchdowns, and he has been taking some snaps at quarterback in recent weeks. Linebacker Jacob Avila leads the defense with 51 tackles, and defensive lineman Noah Jenkins has 5 1/2 sacks. Great Oak cruised to a 49-14 victory over Corona last week. Trent Lux passed for 307 yards and four touchdowns. Carlos Carruego scored a pair of touchdowns and also intercepted a pass for the Wolfpack. Linebacker Ryder Smith leads the defense with 51 tackles.

IE Varsity info: Beaumont’s quest for a second straight CBL title started with a 56-0 rout of Redlands. Brandon Cuellar stepped in at quarterback for the Cougars and tossed two touchdowns passes. Braedon Miller has caught 42 passes for 656 yards and eight touchdowns. Linebacker Matthew Casas leads the defense with 52 tackles. Cajon opened league play with a 34-7 victory at Yucaipa. Marcus Washington passed for 300 yards and a touchdown and added a score on the ground. Linebacker Taylor Johnson leads the Cowboys on defense with 123 tackles.

IVY LEAGUE
Liberty (2-4, 1-0) at Orange Vista (3-3, 1-0), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Liberty snapped a three-game skid by beating Vista del Lago 26-19 in last week’s league opener. Trent Hallis and Parris Peacock are a formidable 1-2 punch for the Bison, as the duo has combined to run for 1,005 yards and score 12 touchdowns. Orange Vista opened defense of its title with a 49-20 win over Paloma Valley that extended the Coyotes’ win streak to three games. Khalil Abdul-Aziz has passed for 1,094 yards and 15 touchdowns, and Bobby Greer has rushed for 445 yards and four scores. Linebacker Frankie Gonzalez leads the defense with 58 tackles.

MOUNTAIN VALLEY LEAGUE
Pacific (6-0, 2-0) at Indian Springs (4-2, 2-0), 7 p.n.
IE Varsity info: The MVL teams play each other twice, and the winner of this game will take sole possession of first place after one round of play. Pacific rolled to a 33-6 win over Miller last week to remain unbeaten. Ryan Cooper has thrown 16 touchdown passes, and Aiden Johnson has hauled in seven touchdown catches for the Pirates. Safety Trevor Pettigrew leads the defense with 34 tackles and four interceptions. Indian Springs picked up a 30-15 win over San Bernardino last week. Damien Johnson and David Mancha each scored twice on the ground for the Coyotes. Linebacker Jeremiah Stovall leads the defense with 45 tackles.

IE Varsity info: Claremont opened league play last week with a 28-24 win at Los Osos. With Brandon Coronado sidelined, Carter Montgomery got the start behind center and passed for 233 yards and three touchdowns. Receiver Doug Yegge and tight end Max Leeper each have caught six touchdown passes for the Wolfpack. Linebacker Luke Labbe leads the defense with 60 tackles. Charter Oak rolled past Glendora 40-7 last week. Corin Berry passed for 215 yard and three touchdowns, and Torry Huff led the ground attack with 127 yards and two scores. Linebacker Joel Sanchez leads the defense with 54 tackles and 3 1/2 sacks.
