THURSDAY’S TOP GAMES
INLAND VALLEY LEAGUE
Moreno Valley (5-1, 1-0) at Heritage (1-5, 1-0), 7:30 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Moreno Valley cruised to a 42-7 victory over Citrus Hill in last week’s league opener. Syree Matthews passed for 151 yards and a touchdown and added 102 yards and another score on the ground. Tre Williams and Jahsiah Sio ran in two touchdowns apiece for the Vikings. Linebacker Cashawn Neal leads the defense with 49 tackles and three sacks. Heritage went winless in nonleague play but outlasted Canyon Springs 40-31 in the league opener. Elijah Sanchez passed for 262 yards and three touchdowns and scored once on the ground, while Hayden Hill paced the ground attack for the Patriots with 268 yards and two scores. Linebacker Matt Mason leads the defense with 43 tackles and three sacks.

MIRAMONTE LEAGUE
Ganesha (4-2, 1-0) at Garey (4-2, 1-0), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Ganesha has won two straight games, including a 47-20 victory over La Puente in last week’s league opener. Eamon Graves led the way for the Giants, passing for 117 yards and three touchdown and adding 306 yards and four scores on the ground. Garey also has won its past two games, including a 41-0 win over Duarte in the league opener. Defensive linemen Chane Truman and Aaron Cooper each have recorded 7 1/2 sacks, and cornerback Keivon Chapman leads the Viking defense with four interceptions. Garey has a 21-5 edge in the crosstown rivalry since 2004, but Ganhesa prevailed 42-20 last season to snap a five-game skid.

MOUNTAIN PASS LEAGUE
Elsinore (6-1, 1-0) at San Jacinto (4-3, 1-0), 7:30 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Elsinore took down district rival Temescal Canyon 34-18 in last week’s league opener and extended its winning streak to four games. Tight end Brady O’Connell caught a touchdown pass and added two scores on the ground. Kai Tamagpong leads the rushing attack with 923 yards and nine touchdowns. Linebacker Tyler Willerford has a team-high 43 tackles. San Jacinto cruised to a 53-7 victory over Tahquitz in the league opener last week. Jomini Ransom has rushed for 732 yards and five touchdowns. Linebacker Damere Coleman leads the defense with 60 tackles and six sacks.

RIVER VALLEY LEAGUE
Norte Vista (4-2, 1-0) vs. Patriot (5-1, 1-0) at Rubidoux HS, 7:30 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Norte Vista racked up 500 yards of offense and rolled to a 67-0 victory over Jurupa Valley in last week’s league opener. Jyden Henderson passed for 134 yards and two touchdowns and added 166 yards and two more scores on the ground. King Butler had three interceptions and also caught a touchdown pass for the Braves. Linebacker Fabian Ruvalcaba leads the defense with 14 tackles per game. Patriot took down defending league champion Ramona 31-27 last week. Isaac Galiza ran for 220 yards and a touchdown, while Nathan Villanueva tossed a touchdown pass and added 103 yards and a score on the ground for the Warriors. Galiza and Villanueva also lead the defense with 46 and 41 tackles, respectively.

SKYLINE LEAGUE
Bloomington (3-3, 1-0) at Carter (3-3, 1-0), 7:30 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Bloomington opened league play last week with a 16-14 overtime win over Arroyo Valley. Dominic Puentes ran in a touchdown in overtime, and Dylan Fraembs added the 2-point conversion for the Bruins. The defense later stopped a conversion attempt to seal the win, Fraembs led the ground attack with 110 yards. Carter cruised to a 41-20 victory over Notre Dame in the league opener last week. Raymond Rubio threw two touchdown passes and scored once on the ground, and Deshalon Allen led the ground attack for the Lions with 145 yards and a touchdown. Defensive linemen Andre Clark leads the defense with seven tackles for loss and seven quarterback pressures.
