A new dormitory, known as North District 2, saw its first school-day action as well.
Located on Canyon Crest Drive, it brings in Riverside Community College District students to live alongside UCR students. It boasts 429 furnished units in two apartment-style buildings with amenities such as a gym, laundry facilities, two courtyards with games and a park with a trail, a UCR news release states.
