FRIDAY’S TOP GAMES
Beaumont (4-0) at Vista Murrieta (3-0), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Beaumont kept its record spotless with a 27-14 victory over Chaminade last week. Jeremiah Duhu has thrown for 891 yards and 10 touchdowns and added 200 yards and two scores on the ground. Braedon Miller leads the receiving corps with 31 catches for 490 yards and five touchdowns. Linebacker Matthew Casas is the defensive leader for the Cougars with 37 tackles. Vista Murrieta is coming off a 29-10 victory over Bishop Amat last week. Bryson Beaver has passed for 658 yards and seven touchdowns, while running back Damarii Booth continues to impress with 360 yards and five touchdowns. Linebacker Brennan Martinez leads the Broncos on defense with 30 tackles.

Centennial (3-1) at Rancho Cucamonga (1-3), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Centennial scored a big 43-36 victory last week over Mater Dei, which was the consensus No. 1-ranked team in the nation. Safety Jaden Walk-Green intercepted two passes (one returned for a touchdown) and also kicked two field goals, and edge rusher Jonathan McKinley registered 3 1/2 sacks and recovered a fumble. Running backs Malaki Davis and Zander Lewis have combined to rush for 521 yards, and Davis has scored seven touchdowns. Rancho Cucamonga lost 54-42 to Chaparral last week. Jacob Chambers threw three touchdown passes in that game, and James Strong III led the ground attack for the Cougars with 159 yards and three touchdowns.

Elsinore (3-1) at Norte Vista (3-1), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Elsinore got back on track last week with a 21-20 win over Liberty. Kai Tamagpong leads the Tigers on offense, having rushed for 570 yards and six touchdowns. Xavier Stankevich is the complementary back with 211 yards and six scores. Stankevich and linebacker Brady O’Connell lead the defense with 26 tackles apiece. Norte Vista was missing some key players last week but still posted a 26-14 win over Santa Monica. Dreadie Allain leads the ground attack for the Braves with 466 yards and six touchdowns. King Butler has four touchdown receptions on offense and four interceptions on defense. Linebacker Fabian Ruvalcaba is averaging 15 tackles per game.

San Jacinto (2-2) at Cajon (2-1), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: San Jacinto escaped with a 14-11 victory at Rancho Verde last week. Jomini Ransom has rushed for 390 yards and three touchdowns, and Daishaun Davis is a top receiving threat with 15 catches for 242 yards and two touchdowns. The Tigers are led on defense by safety Jeremiah Brown (32 tackles). Cajon pulled out a 38-35 win over Newport Harbor last week, with Owen Morris kicking the decisive field goal in the final seconds. Marcus Washington has passed for 631 yards and seven touchdowns, and Landon White has caught 15 passes for 296 yards and three touchdowns. Linebacker Taylor Johnson leads the Cowboys on defense with 62 tackles.

Great Oak (2-1) at Chaparral (1-2), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Great Oak should be well-rested for this crosstown showdown after taking its bye last week. Trent Lux, who suited up for Chaparral last season, has thrown for 719 yards and seven touchdowns. Ryder Parks has been the top receiving threat with16 receptions for 271 yards and three touchdowns. Linebacker Ryder Smith leads the Wolfpack on defense with 30 tackles. Chaparral knocked off Rancho Cucamonga 54-42 last week for its first victory of the season. Dane Weber passed for 354 yards and four touchdowns, and Michael “Kiko” Farinas had eight catches for 169 yards and three touchdowns for the Pumas. Linebacker Logan Coleman has been a standout on defense with 36 tackles. Chaparral has won seven straight meetings in this series and holds an overall edge of 14-5.

San Clemente (2-2) at Chino Hills (3-1), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: Chino Hills cruised to a 37-3 victory over North last week. Alex Medyn has passed for 533 yards and four touchdowns and added four scores on the ground. Jacob Jimenez leads the ground attack for the Huskies with 512 yards and five touchdowns. Linebacker Noah Curtain tops the defense with 37 tackles. San Clemente is seeking its second win over an Inland team (35-34 over Chaparral earlier this month). Eiler King has passed for 845 yards and six touchdowns, and Jaxson Rex has 27 receptions for 328 yards and three touchdowns. Linebacker Jack Weller leads the Tritons on defense with 34 tackles.

Roosevelt (2-2) at Santiago (3-0), 7 p.m.
IE Varsity info: These one-time Big VIII League football foes square off in nonleague action. Roosevelt has won two straight games, including a 49-26 win over Palmdale last week. The Mustangs are led on offense by quarterback Blake Nadler and wide receiver Nathan Ramirez. Santiago knocked off Silverado 23-14 last week, and the Sharks now seek the program’s first 4-0 start since the 2002 campaign. Clayton Plewe has passed for 881 yards and six touchdowns and added five scores on the ground. Ryan Wilson has hauled in 18 passes for 404 yards and five touchdowns. Edge rusher Max Eldridge leads the defense with five sacks. The series is tied at eight wins apiece, but Roosevelt has won five straight meetings.
