A 24-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter after a crash in Riverside killed a driver on Saturday, April 19, police said.
Around 10:30 a.m., officers responded to a multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of University and Park avenues, according to Riverside Police Officer Ryan Railsback.

Investigators determined that a Riverside woman was driving a gray 2019 Toyota Camry westbound on University Avenue when she collided with a white 2004 Nissan Titan pickup traveling south on Park Avenue. The impact caused the pickup to overturn and the Camry to crash into a fence and catch fire. A third vehicle was struck as a result of the crash, but the driver was not injured, Railsback said.
The driver of the Nissan, a 60-year-old Riverside man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Drug Recognition Expert evaluated the woman at the scene and determined she was under the influence of cannabis.
She was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center.
Officials did not immediately release the name of the suspect driver or the man who was killed.
